Modularean
New prefab house designs keep popping up everywhere. The general trend of these modern wonders is toward finding creative ways to live smaller, but David Baker’s Modularean House gives smaller living a new meaning.
His house plan gives kids a miniaturized prefab doll house to explore ways to go green in the modern house of the (their) future.
Modularean, like some real prefab houses is made from ecologically farmed bamboo, and finished with low VOC soy resin.
In Trix For Kids we found out about architect Michelle Kauffman’s miniature versions of her actual house plans on exhibit at Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, now Modularean is another great way for parents to get kids thinking about a different way of living from a very young age. And like Kauffmans exhibit house this is also a great “toy” for budding young architects. Read post in Inhabitat.
