It’s Black and White
A lot of modern house designs try to achieve a balance between definite architectural lines and how they impact the practical needs of the actual inhabitants.
So it’s especially interesting when we run upon a house such as the Black and White House by architect Paulo David.
In this house as photographed by Leonardo Finotti, David has intentionally created an austere modern house using materials like basalt and volcanic ash that accentuate the austere nature of the house.
David sums up the basic idea for Black and White House by saying, “Inside the aim was always austerity, using very few materials. Most surfaces are flat and white, contrasting with the external skin and allowing light inside the house.” Read post in Dezeen.
